EUROD is a euro-denominated e-money token (EMT) issued by ODDO BHF SCA, a French private bank founded in 1849 and supervised by the ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution).[S1][S4]
Unlike most MiCA EMTs, EUROD is issued under the credit institution exemption (Article 48 MiCAR) rather than requiring a separate electronic money institution licence. The ACPR is the competent authority responsible for supervising both the issuer and the token.[S2]
The token is deployed on Polygon PoS as ERC-20F — a variant of ERC-20 with freeze capability, consistent with MiCA AML/compliance obligations for credit institutions. Each EUROD is backed by the general balance sheet of ODDO BHF SCA (a regulated credit institution) — it does not rely on a segregated reserve. ODDO BHF maintains euro collateral of at least the EUROD in issue, with up to 70% invested in highly-liquid, low-risk instruments (collateral manager: ODDO BHF Asset Management).[S2][S6]

EUROD is currently only deployed on Polygon. No Ethereum, Arbitrum, or other chain deployment has been independently verified as of June 2026.[S1][S6]
EUROD is accessible through ODDO BHF directly (institutional / KYB onboarding required). The token has thin public DEX presence on Polygon; no CEX listing has been found on public market-data aggregators or major exchanges as of June 2026.[S1]
Because no public peg aggregator covers EUROD, eurostablecoins.xyz does not currently publish a peg metric for this coin. Supply data is collected on-chain via Polygon RPC daily.
Is EUROD regulated under MiCA?
Yes. EUROD is an e-money token (EMT) issued by ODDO BHF SCA, an ACPR-licensed credit institution. Its MiCA whitepaper was notified to the ACPR on 15 October 2025 and appears in the ESMA EMTWP register.
What makes EUROD different from EMI-issued stablecoins like EURC or EURI?
EUROD is issued by a credit institution (bank) rather than an electronic money institution (EMI). Under MiCA Article 48, credit institutions are exempt from needing a separate EMI licence to issue EMTs — their existing banking authorisation suffices. The regulatory supervision remains with ACPR.
Where can I redeem EUROD?
Redemption is handled directly through ODDO BHF. There is no public retail redemption channel. Institutional holders should contact ODDO BHF through the EUROD stablecoin page.
Why is there no peg chart for EUROD?
No public price aggregator lists EUROD. eurostablecoins.xyz only publishes peg metrics when a reliable independent price feed exists. Supply data is tracked on-chain regardless.
