It was one of the earlier euro-denominated Stellar tokens, built for cross-border payments. The issuer infrastructure (eurt.exchange) has since gone offline with no redemption channel. Residual EURT persists on Stellar and still moves between holders, but the product itself is discontinued and unsupported; its EURT code coincidentally matches Tether EURT although the two are unrelated assets.
